We believe that following Jesus is best done within a community. By connecting with others who are also following Jesus, we learn more about what it means to live out our faith. At North Fresno Church, we have several types of groups where you can connect with others, wherever you are at in your faith journey.
**Please note that during the COVID-19 pandemic, many of NFC’s small groups are meeting in online settings.
Our Bible study groups offer a more structured setting with a focus on understanding and applying God’s Word. These groups focus on a theme or book of the Bible to study together, and meet weekly to share ideas. Often times, Bible study groups become a safe place to share prayer needs, and a support in living out our faith.
Other groups at NFC have formed organically based around a common interest. Some examples of groups that meet together include: a quilting group, mom’s groups, a reconciliation group, worship & musical groups, and men’s basketball groups. If you have an interest and would like to meet others at NFC who share your passion, please let us know!
We also encourage those who regularly connect with the ministry of NFC to consider joining a Life Group.
Life Groups are discipleship groups which consist of 10-12 adults, usually in the same life stage. These groups meet at least twice a month to discuss deeper issues of faith, build strong relationships, and care for their community. Each Life Group has its own dynamic, but follow a general pattern of discussing the previous week’s sermon and how we can apply it in our everyday lives. Sometimes Life Groups will choose another book to read or study together which pertains to life and faith. Life Groups are also a place to share prayer requests, and to support each other as we follow Jesus.
We currently have Life Groups that meet Sunday, Tuesday, or Wednesday evenings. For young adults, we have a college-aged group that meets every Friday.
If you would like more information about one of NFC’s groups, please complete the following form, or email Pastor Jamie, who oversees our Discipleship and Adult ministries. We would love to help you find a place to connect at NFC.
