Indoor Services: June 2021
As a part of our previous COVID guidance update on May 23rd, the COVID Task Force determined that our next update would come after the California Department of Public Health guidance changed to align with the Center for Disease Control regarding guidance for vaccinated individuals, which it did on Tuesday, June 15. The Tier System, which had been guiding much of our response for safely gathering, has been lifted which feels like another significant milestone as we continue to re-emerge from COVID together.
Beginning this Sunday, June 20th, masks will be optional for in-person worship in the Sanctuary. As children have not yet had the opportunity to receive the vaccine, masks will be required in the Education Building for children and adults volunteering with children, per the CDC’s guidance, and all adults are invited to mask up when around children.
Again, there are countless reasons why some of us might choose to remain masked while others of us go unmasked and still others of us remain online. Let us continue to be a people who “make every effort to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace” (Ephesians 4:3).
We will continue to meet for one worship gathering at 10 a.m. each Sunday.
Grace + Peace,
NFC KIDS Programs
At this point, we’ve opened up our Education Building for our nursery program (birth to two years old), and our NFC KIDS classes for children 3 years old through 6th grade. Our children’s programs start at 10:00am, and run through the duration of the worship service in the Sanctuary.
All teachers and staff working with children will be wearing masks in the Education Building and will taking extra precautions to comply with NFC’s Covid-19 guidelines. You may check your children in to their classes on the first floor of the Education Building at 10:00 a.m., and pick them up when the worship service is over. Pastor Connie has been working hard to make our kids programs a safe place for our kids to re-connect, learn about Jesus, and worship Him together.
