FACE is a faith-based, community benefit organization that launched out of North Fresno Church. Since 1969, North Fresno Church has been active in the Robinson neighborhood, collaborating for community transformation. Over the years, we have been able to provide different services to help meet the needs in our community. This eventually led to North Fresno Church creating a non-profit organization: Fresno Area Community Enterprises (FACE).

North Fresno Church is located in the Robinson neighborhood, which has been identified as an area of concentrated poverty. 100% of students at Robinson Elementary School are eligible for free and reduced lunches. Less than a third of parents in the school’s attendance area have graduated from high school.

To respond to ongoing needs in our surrounding neighborhood, FACE’s mission is to restore hope, and provide resources that promote self-reliance. FACE provides opportunities to mobilize, and equip people for community transformation. Pastor Loren currently serves as the Executive Director for FACE. The FACE offices are located on the North Fresno Church campus.

FACE MAKES A DIFFERENCE IN OUR COMMUNITY THROUGH:

• CARING FOR INDIVIDUALS: People become healthier as they receive relational, emotional and spiritual support from prayer partners and care teams. Adults and children are welcomed into programs promoting healthy lifestyles and academic enrichment.

• RESOURCING FAMILIES: Struggling families become more stable when FACE shares and connects them to much needed resources.

• DEVELOPING, MOBILIZING, AND TRAINING LEADERS: Local leaders unleash their talents and are better equipped for community transformation. Social and business entrepreneurs employ the underemployed and hard-to-employ to give community members a better chance at breaking free from poverty.  Rock Pile Landscaping and Moving On Up are two social enterprises FACE created to help provide jobs in our community.
